You will save time and money by not having to commute to a language school.

To start a lesson, just simply turn on your computer, open skype and you are ready to study.

You can study peacefully sitting on you sofa or lying in your bed, drinking your favourite tea.

While talking via Skype, emphasis is put on what is really needed in a real-life conversation - listening to an English speaker, understanding spoken English, and communicating.

The entire lesson is focused on you and your needs. You are not sharing the lesson with five or ten other students. When the lesson is individual, we can focus on topics that are more demanding. We can go quickly through the topics that are easy for you. You are the only person in the "class", so you are the one who decides the pace and the scope of the lesson that is suitable for you. 

Another advantage of skype lessons is time flexibility. We will set time for our lesson but if for any reason you can't meet your arranged time, we can always find an alternative so you won't miss your lesson. Are you an early bird and would you like to have your lesson before going to work or school? Do you work in shifts so you can only commit to lessons every other week? These are all possible, I understand that most people live very busy lives today so I will try my best to find time and options that work best for you.

There are a wide range of materials online today, so I think lessons via Skype can be much more interesting than the lessons at a language school. In a language school, you usually have to stick with a given textbook, while there are plenty of English materials online, materials for reading, listening, songs and lyrics in English and much more. I have got ten years experience of teaching in a language school and I found online lessons much more creative and more interesting for both students and teacher.

Teaching on Skype is very ecological. Based on my experience with teaching in language schools, if you want to do your lesson a little bit more creatively for your students, you have to copy a lot of materials, usually five A4 pages per student per lesson which is a big amount of paper within a month or within a year. With online lessons, there is no more photocopying, no more wasting of paper, all materials are sent electronically, you can save them on your computer and use them for further studying without need to print them.

Based on my experience, some of the students were at the beginning a little bit worried about the whole concept of a lesson via Skype. They were usually very happy and pleased after the first few lessons but of course it is still upon you to decide if this approach suits you.
