When I started studying abroad, I realized it would be good to find a teacher for extra lessons to improve my English. Luckily, I have found Jana who has shown me the fun way of learning English. I have been learning English with Jana since 2009 and since then, I have made a great progress at school! Jana is a very nice and helpful person and I am looking forward to every lesson with her!

I have chosen lessons with Jana because English classes at my school were too difficult and I had problems to keep up with other students in my class. Having a private teacher is a great advantage, you can  focus on topics you feel you have problems with and there is no pressure to keep up with another students. I found Jana's lessons very useful and I would definitely recommend lessons with her to my friends!

Studying English since June 2007.

A high school student

I work for an international company and I felt I needed to improve my English to meet all the expecations in my job. I am very busy at my work and I go to business trips very often,  so I knew learning a language in a language school is not a good option for me. Jana was very helpful and she was always trying to find a way to arrange time lessons in a way that suited both of us. I feel much more confident in my English communication thanks to lessons with Jana and I am very grateful to her. She has shown me English is not diffucult language as it seems to be and that learning language can be a great fun.

What types of lesson are available?

  • Business English

  • Getting for English exams ( FCE, CAE, IELTS)

  • Getting ready for your travels (you will learn how to talk to staff at the airport and to a flight attendant on a plane, how to book a hotel, how to order a meal in a restaurant, how to ask for directions,..)

  • Preparation for your job interview in English

  • Helping you with writing CV in English and a cover letter for your desired job

  • Preparation for your GCSE exams or tests at school

  • Extra classes for junior schools students or high schools students. Are you a student at the junior school or at the high school and you feel the pace in your English class is too fast for you? Then we can have a look at the topics again together and focus on things which are more difficult for you.

  • Classes for students who would like to prepare for studying abroad. I can give you advice what to expect after the arrival to a new country, help you filling in needed forms, look at the topics of your studies.

"Language learning is a bit like jogging, you need to do it regularly for it to do any good."

~     Juan Kaltan

What does the lesson look like?

  • You can choose from 45 minute / 60 minute / 90 minute lessons.

  • Topic of the lesson will be aimed at your needs as mentioned above.

  • In any lesson, there is a strong focus of conversation and listening as I found these parts of learning a foreign language essential ones. It is important for you to be able to understand the speaker of English, think about what he / she has said to you, formulate your answer in your mind and reply.

  • I always tend to focus on a certain part of vocabulary or grammar but at least half of the lesson is aimed at the conversation about the topic, which tests your understanding of a problem as well as your ability to listen and be able to understand a speaker of English and make replies which are simply enough for you to make and clear for the person you communicate with.

  • I tend to correct your mistakes after your speech, I think it is good for you to express yourself in a way you think is the best, then we can have a look at the mistakes you have made (if there are any) and then we will try to create the sentence without mistakes.

  • Homework is also part of each lesson as it is very important for you to have a look at the topic we were studying. While studying language, it is good if you study for five or ten minutes on the way to school or to work, and it is ideal to do it every day.
